This book is a wonderfully exciting, fun, fast-paced mystery/romance/erotic novel. I loved it from start to finish and it is my favorite in the 'Crazy' series. I've devoured each one at least twice. And this one I've read 5 times.

Tara Janzen's books have wonderful continuity and suspense to them that keeps you coming back for more. She has a way of creating delightful characters that pull you in. You can feel the sexual tension between the couples and your heart races with the action scenes.

I've had a hard tiem finding romance that doesn't involve some kind of paranormal element. I do not like getting into a good read and discovering one of the characters is a time traveller or werewolf.

I whole~heartedly suggest you read her 'Crazy' series, begining with Crazy Hot. Tara IS my new favorite author!!!

Great characters and plotting and action is exceptional. I've already pre-ordered the next two books in the series. Update 9/24/08 - Just ordered my second copy of Crazy Cool (and Crazy Hot, too). My first copy is somewhat yellowed and a bit tattered. I have all of Tara Janzen's books and love to re-read them, in order, several times a year. It's like visiting with good friends. I love, love, love Superman. Crazy Cool is one of the few books where I laughed out loud at some of the scenes. I have a problem with some of the more horrific violence directed at the good guys (for example J.T.) but have learned to skim, or just plain skip, those passages. Don't have a bit of trouble with horrific violence toward the bad guys though.
Love this book, love the series. Great writing. Good character development, intrigue with humor. The guys are hot and intense. The women are accomplished and kick ass on their own.
The Steele Street series gives romance, action and mystery. Getting to know these characters is a fun ride (you will know the pun after reading the books.) Didn't want the series to end. Read book one and see if you don't come back for more.
When a man calls you Bad Luck to your face and you still fall in love with him, and he falls in love with you, it was meant to be. One of my favorites in the Crazy series. The emotional ties are solid, the writing is even better.

Both characters are flawed without being fatalistically, or cornily overdramitically, so.
I don't know about the legit critics but I find this author a heck of a read. I know
when I sit down to relax with a book for a few, I am going to be satisfied and fall asleep
with a smile on my face. -)
This is a good story too! Just like the first one, I think it has more of a story line than the first. Maybe. Probably each of the books will be about another character of Steele street who happens to fall in love. I'll read till I get bored. There's just so much falling in love I can handle. Huh!
I can't say enough good things about this series. I love it so much! This is the second book and it centers around Christian "Superman" Hawkins. He's always taking care of everyone else so it was nice to see his history and watch him fall in love. Definitely would recommend, as I would all the books in this series.
